Scheme for obtaining chimeric mice used in the experiment. After irradiation, wild-type mice were transplanted with bone marrow cells from transgenic mice. Depending on the promoter chosen (promoters of the b-actin, VEGF-R2, or Tie-1 genes), markers were expressed in chimeras in all bone marrow cells or only in EPCs.
