Первый в Украине банк пуповинной крови был создан в 1984 г., и хотя просуществовал всего 5 лет, являлся первым в Европе опытом долгосрочного хранения пуповинной крови. На сегодняшний день услугу по сохранению стволовых клеток пуповинной крови в Украине предоставляют 4 банка персонального хранения. За последние годы в области применения компонентов пуповинной крови специалистами в Украине достигнуты значительные успехи в детской кардиохирургии, неврологии и нейрохирургии, а также производстве иммунобиологических препаратов на основе плазмы пуповинной крови. Однако, высокая онкогематологическая заболеваемость населения Украины и потребность в неродственных аллогенных трансплантациях костного мозга, а также индивидуальное своеобразие HLA-фенотипа украинцев и высокая миграция населения в страны Евросоюза, США, Канаду обусловливают необходимость создания публичного банка пуповинной крови и его интеграцию с международными реестрами гемопоэтических стволовых клеток. В статье представлены также данные социологического опроса населения Украины по тематике «клеточная терапия», которые показывают достаточную осведомленность населения и медицинской общественности в данной отрасли медицины, поддержку банкинга пуповинной крови акушерами-гинекологами, однако указывают и на необходимость формирования в обществе правильного мировоззрения в сфере клеточных технологий, профессионального разъяснения терминов и недопущения искажения понятий.</p></abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>Пуповинная кровь</kwd><kwd>банки пуповинной крови</kwd><kwd>стволовые клетки</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Harris D.T.
