Среди множества типов клеток, способных оказывать клинический эффект, особый интерес вызывают дермальные фибробласты, которые представляют собой гетерогенную популяцию клеток мезен-химного ряда и играют ключевую роль в процессах регуляции клеточных взаимодействий и поддержании гомеостаза кожи. Фибробласты не только формируют оптимальные условия для функционирования и пролиферации других типов клеток (эпителиальных, эндотелиальных, клеток волосяных фолликулов], но и отвечают за координацию их функций в соответствии с расположением на теле. Способность фибробластов формировать межклеточный матрикс, синтезировать цитокины, вызывать миграцию и пролиферацию разных типов клеток при повреждениях кожи делает их перспективными для широкого клинического применения.
